Richard is a dedicated professional with over 44 years of real estate experience here on Hilton Head Island and Bluffton. Richard is a South Carolina native and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Journalism. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Hilton Head Island and began his real estate career in 1980. In 1985 he married Janet Sanders MacDonald from Beaufort, South Carolina. They raised three sons on Hilton Head Island. Richard and Janet are members of the Hilton Head Presbyterian Church, where Richard serves as an Elder, and Janet serves on the Women’s Ministry team.

Joey has had an exceptional start to her real estate career since joining Charter One Realty and Richard MacDonald & Associates in 2016. Joey has proven that she is dedicated to serving clients with the utmost professionalism and personalized customer service, making her perfect for Charter One. Joey is originally from Oklahoma, but has called the Lowcountry home now for nearly 15 years. Joey and her husband Chad met here on the Island and were married in 2010. Joey and Chad live in Bluffton, which is also where her husband Chad works. Real estate is a family affair for the Doyle’s and her husband Chad has been a real estate agent for nearly 20 years working for Reed Development and their most recent community, Hampton Lake. When not in the office, you can find her chasing around two very busy kids, Reagan and Tucker and enjoying all things Lowcountry.

After a successful sales career in the NFL, Sanders proudly returned to the Lowcountry. Sanders grew up in Hilton Head Plantation and graduated from Hilton Head Christian Academy in 2007. He went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Clemson University in 2011. Following college, Sanders spent the next 12 years working with the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. With a focus on exceeding expectations from initial contact to gameday, he generated over $10 million in new business revenue through the sale of premium products. This experience of matching client needs with a location translates seamlessly into Real Estate. As an island native, you can expect to receive local knowledge on the area’s communities. His genuine nature and patience carry a winning attitude into each transaction. Sanders loves traveling with his wife, Sami, and running around the backyard chasing their two children until he can’t keep up.
